Situation
The ongoing aggression of the recent months by the Chernarussian Movement of the Red Star (ChDKZ, "Chedaki") seperatists has finally culminated in a direct advance onto Chernarussian Defence Force (CDF)-held southern Chernarus. Especially the capital Zelenogorsk is threatened by troops pushing south from the country's main airport. ChDKZ forces managed to acquire armoured assets, roughly enough to make up a battalion, though mostly ex-Soviet models. We expect them to deploy those forces within the next few hours to make a push for Zelenogorsk by going through Rogovo and Pogorevka. It is unclear whether ChDKZ also obtained air assets. CDF is preparing defences around the capital, some local commanders are also pushing for a counterattack on the ariport. But the decision has not been made yet.
Mission
NATO agreed to establish a buffer zone between the ChDKZ and the CDF. The limited NATO presence in the region means our small force is concentrated on the most likely angle of attack around Rogovo. German and French auxiliary troops are tasked to cover the flanks to the west and the east. KSK operators deployed at FARP Mauldäschle near Sosnovka. From there, the operators are ordered to establish a perimeter on the western flank between Pustoshka and the northern country road, and repel enemy advances.
Tactical Advice
The forest line between Pustoshka and the northern country road provides cover as well as a good overview onto the key roads leading south as well as onto the villages of Lopatino and Vybor. In order to get into position safely, use the road going through Myshkino. Stay conceiled for as long as you can and exploit your high mobility to ambush enemy armour. Also use your recon capabilities (Drones, TI, Laser Designators) in conjunction with indirect fire (BLOS / artillery). Prepare multiple backup positions in order to quickly re-locate once you are discovered. Expect the enemy to attack in force and use artillery on your known locations. Also expect infantry to flank you through the western forest lands. Sabotage behind friendly lines is likely.
