    The Atlantic island of Fapovo has long been divided. The northern half of the island is part of the Botana province within the Kingdom of Sahrani. The southern half used to be controlled by the small Kingdom of Fapovo. The Kingdom of Fapovo was a prosperous state thanks to its rich mineral mines. Unfortunately the profit from these mines went mostly to the King and a few powerful aristocratic landowners while the population lived in poverty, naturally leading to many tensions within the Kingdom.


    These tensions finally erupted in 2015 when a revolt broke out led by the charismatic former officer Dèniz. The Royal Army was quickly defeated due to a lack of motivation and massive desertions resulting in the Fapovan King fleeing to Sahrani in exile. Dèniz proceeded to officially declare the Republic of Fapovo under his personal 'guidance'. After consolidating his rule the Generalissimo quickly shifted his gaze to the north. In 2018 Fapovan troops marched across the border into the Botana province, starting the Fapovan-Sahrani War. Whilst Dèniz officially justified the conflict as a 'need to punish Sahrani for harbouring enemies of the people' it is widely known his true desire was unifying the entire island under the Republic.


    The war lasted for 5 bloody years until an armistice was signed in 2023 after pressure by the UN and NATO. This armistice was followed by a treaty which would prove humiliating to Dèniz and his Republic. Not only was he forced to cede the island of Laura to Sahrani, he also had to downsize the army to 5,000 men and was forced to accept a permanent UN garrison on several important military bases. This humiliation destroyed popular support for Dèniz' regime and he was forced to turn to increasingly brutal measures to keep the population under his rule while secretly rebuilding the military. It is now 2038 and Dèniz still has the country in an iron grip. Perhaps he even contemplates trying to unite the island a second time...

    Briefing


    Listen up lads,

    We have been hired by Generalissimo Dèniz, officially to 'train his troops', however we have suspicions that he wants us to perform several covert actions. While we are free to move around the Republican territory we can not cross into Sahrani territory. I know you fought alongside them some time ago but they are not our friends. Furthermore you are to stay clear of the UN garrisons, we do not want to cause any unfortunate 'incidents'. Dèniz has given us an old military base we can use as a base of operations while we are on the island.

    Mission Details


    Date: May 1944

    Map: Sark, Channel Islands

    The Channel Islands just off the coast of France are part of the United Kingdom, but have been under German occupation since June 1940. The Germans quickly turned the small islands into formidable fortresses which hold a sizeable German garrison. Plans were drawn up in 1943 for a future liberation of the islands, codenamed Operation Constellation. In order to secure the success of the upcoming Operation Overlord it is vital that the German presence on the islands is weakened - otherwise they might pose a serious threat to the invasion fleet.

    Briefing

    As Bri'ish Commandos you have been tasked to perform a raid on the island of Sark. Your main task will be the destruction of key German defenses in order to prepare for a future invasion of the island. You will insert by boat on the eastern coast, after which you will proceed to make contact with the local resistance - codenamed Chav - to receive information about the location of German positions. During your mission you will be able to call in naval support from the battleship HMS Cocklesnatch. However be wary to avoid hitting civilian targets as the weather will surely affect the shells.     Situation

    The DDR (East Germany) regularly sends recon flights over the inner German border to observe enemy movements. This night at approximately 03:00 contact was lost with one of these planes, codename Adler. It is believed that the recon plane has been shot down by enemy AA and crashed somewhere in the vicinity of Volkmarsdorf.

    Mission

    As soldiers of the 40. Fallschirmjägerbataillon you will be dropped behind enemy lines, inserting at either Dropzone Sauerkraut or Dropzone Bratwurst. Your first objective will be to locate the crash site of Adler. The enemy will most likely already be busy extracting information from the plane. Search for any useful information and/or survivors. Extracting possible survivors is preferred but when unable you are cleared to eliminate them.

    Subsequently you will be tasked with attacking and destroying any targets of opportunity, including ammo/vehicle depots, garrisons and AA positions. Be aware that you are in hostile territory, so strike hard and fast.

    Finally you will break contact with the enemy and return across the border at the crossing near Gehrendorf

    After the terrorist attacks on the World Trade Centre in 2001 the United States launched a swift invasion of Afghanistan. It is now 2003 and a sizeable US garrison remains in the country to train the Afghani army and 'keep the peace'. They have multiple FOB's located at tactical positions around the country.


    Garrison duty is often boring and uneventful. This is not the case at the McDick FOB however. This outpost is located in the Afghani mountains, a hotspot of Taliban activity, and is thus often the subject of massive attacks. It's no wonder that the soldiers have nicknamed it Hells Outpost.

    You have been assigned to reinforce the garrison at the McDick FOB. Make your way over there ASAP, the base commander will brief you on your tasks.

    The island of Namalsk is a barren place located in the Bering Sea. During the Cold War it was an important strategic base for the Soviet Union and highly militarized. Access to the island was limited to Soviet military personnel and rumors begun circulating about secret testing facilities for experimental weapons. After the dissolution of the USSR in 1991 the local Soviet military commander refused to swear allegiance to the new Russian Federation and seceded. Due to its small size and the loss of strategic value after the Cold War most people have forgotten about it. Meanwhile the military regime lives on, and the island has been in a complete lockdown for almost 50 years. Some people even say that the old Soviet Union still lives on in Namalsk...

    Briefing


    The boss has been contacted by one of his fathers old Syndikat buddies. He wants STAF to help him with a very legal and most definitely not criminal 'situation'. Therefore you lucky bastards are heading back to the beautiful tropical Horizon Islands. This time we won't be going to Tanoa but to the Pulau island chain.

    The larger island of Pulau Gurun is the stronghold of the local governor and defended by the Horizon Islands Defence Force. While the smaller island of Pulay Monyet is a wretched hive of scum and villainy with some scattered HIDF outposts. The HIDF is a mostly unorganized bunch using outdated weaponry and equipment. However the island is also host to a NATO expeditionary force that is currently training the HIDF to be more effective at fighting the criminal forces. We've set up a temporary outpost at a hidden lagoon in one of the smaller islands with some basic equipment and a couple of boats. If we want to bring in our heavier equipment we will need to find a better location.

    Esseker is a war torn region in the Balkans. A brutal NATO-CSAT proxy war between militia groups and mercenaries has been raging for years. This has turned the region into an anarchist paradise for bandits and other scum of the earth. IDAP has set up a couple of safezones in the area that are under the protection of PMC's. With these zones they are attempting to relieve the local population with humanitarian and medical support. However these safezones are a regular victim of bandit and militia attacks due to the valuable resources they hold.



    Briefing


    "We have been hired by IDAP to provide protection for their personnel and material stationed in Esseker. Our primary objective will be defending their safezones, humanitarian shipments and people from bandit and militia attacks. This may seem like a walk in the park for some of you, but do not underestimate the enemy. These guys are battle hardened scum that will kill you for your lollipop. Next to these bandits and militias there are several other PMC's and mercenaries also operating in the area. They should not pose a problem for now, as long as you stay out of their way. Also beware that the local population has gone through a lot and might not look very kindly upon armed men entering their homes. Good luck on this assignment, you'll need it." -Turumai Maru
